Climate and weather
In the Spring, Acadia National Park gets foggy. Because of the fog and humidity, there are many mosquitos and blackflies. The temperatures in the spring time in Acadia can range to about 30 to 70 degrees. The annual rainfall in the spring is around four feet. Meanwhile, in the Summer, daytime temperatures can range to 45 to 90 degrees. Although, in the night time, the temperatures can be considerably cooler. The temperatures of the water depends on the water. If it is fresh water, the temperature is 55 to 70 degrees. On the contrary, if the water is the ocean type then it is 50 to 60 degrees. In the fall, the difference in temperatures vary with the time of day. During the day temperatures can be at the low seventies, but by the time the sun has gone down, the temperatures could reach to freezing. This makes snow possible in the fall. Fall foliage is at its peak often reaches its peak in the earlier weeks of October, but in reality the amount of moisture there was in the Summer determines the timing of the falling of the foliage. Finally in the winter, due to the coastal location of Acadia National Park, there is frequent snowfall. In fact, the annual snowfall is about 60 inches.
